Many people like to make a donation to the Leelanau Conservancy in memory or in honor of someone. Some people make donations to celebrate an event, such as a wedding, retirement, birthday or birth of a child. The reasons to give are limited only by your imagination! We recognize each gift in honor or memory of someone in our publications and also by sending a card or certificate, whatever is called for, to the person being honored or to the family of the person being remembered. In some cases, like our Leelanau Preservers program, we mount beautiful tiles in our Leland Village Green recognizing those people who have reached milestones in acreage preserved. For those who participate in our Adopt-A-Natural-Area programs, plaques are mounted at our Natural Areas on posts near the kiosks.
