Leelanau's fall colors and tastes

With their rows of colorful fruit piled into green pressed paper quart boxes, Leelanau’s farm markets can be as artistic as the windows of a French patisserie.  And it doesn’t get any more local than this—buying produce from a stand on the property where the food was grown.

When I'm in Leelanau I can be driving home from somewhere else and unexpectedly come upon a scene like this one.  To be surrounded by this kind of beauty will be the main factor in deciding to live here permanently.
