We love just sitting in the living room and seeing a slice of Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Point over the pond at the Homestead. Its called, "leaving the city behind".

It’s where I live year-round in my head

I’ve lived every summer of my life in Leelanau thanks to my Grandmother who discovered its beauty before I was born and bought cottages for her three daughters.  The family has places on both Lime Lake and Lake Michigan just north of Leland.  I stand on this bluff and let my soul breathe.  It’s where I live year-round in my head.

Fun times and fond memories

Just one of the many great times I've been able to have in Leelanau County has been in the 'Sugar Shack' on my brother's property.   It's in a wonderful stand of tall maples near the west arm of the bay, a tad cluttered, but well-seasoned and perfect for hand-crafted maple syrup.
