Land of Delight in March

Here's a shot from one of our photographing hikes up on top of Sleeping Bear Point this winter. I'm working on a series of winter paintings from the last hike. It’s even more breath-taking up there in winter.

I love Leelanau because of its rich beauty everywhere I look. I live in a suburb of Chicago and so I never get the chance to see rolling hills going off into the distance or a little barn by the side of the road. When we make our trip up to our little house in Leelanau, I know that no matter the weather, there will be beauty everywhere we look.
