These cherry trees represent the love of a group of Omena neighbors committed to the beauty of the Leelanau County farmland. We love watching our orchard grow from year to year and are grateful to all who made it possible. While these old trees have since been replaced, maybe this summer or next our new trees will be ready to bear fruit - as our idea to preserve our orchard acreage already has.

[Editor’s Note: On Saturday, May 10, we will co-host a beautiful, free "Blossom Day" Bata bus tour with the Leelanau Conservation District and the Leelanau Enterprise. Last week, Conservancy staffers mapped out the most beautiful cherry blossom route imaginable. Make plans to come/be in Leelanau on May 10! Details: http://www.theconservancy.com/Events.html]
