Very nice to read your story on School Lake. It truly is a little gem! I too have many found memories of the lake from my visiits there in the mid 70's. As a young man I used to fish School Lake often. Even used to load up my little canoe and spend a couple nights camping under the stars right at the entrance to "The Hole" as we called it. Woke up one morning to the sight of a Great Blue Heron standing right at my feet! Also caught many Bass and Pike as well as plenty of pan fish to clean and fry up right there on the shore. Ahh those were the days!! I still recall those memories to help fall asleep at night.

As a member of the annual May tradition of fishing School Lake I second the sentiment. I'd like to give a big wooossshhh and bonus shout-out to all the May Fitters! It is almost time. Get that tackle box sorted and ready.
