I really liked Jane Grover’s frog picture on February 4th.  Here is a photograph I took on North Lake St. in Leland two years ago.  I call it Close Encounters because I have no idea what creature this is, but I thought it was pretty cool.

For incredible fall colors, how can you beat the Leelanau Peninsula? For that matter, how can you beat it anytime of the year?? It’s a photographer's paradise in any season!

I was raised two and a half miles south of Dick's Pour House. I spent six months each in Denver and Orlando, and a year and a half in Detroit–you can have them all. There is no place like our county on the face of the planet…. I call this shot of Good Harbor Bay "Liquid Fire."

We love Leelanau County because of the farms and wide-open spaces. But, if they don't do something quick all the farms will be gone because the younger generations cannot afford the taxes!!!
