As landscape artists we are driven and inspired in our work by natural beauty. Leelanau County can easily say it is a source of world-class beauty. From the National Lakeshore to Northport, the fields, vistas, barns and beaches are a painter’s delight and worth preserving. This is a photo of Melanie Parke and Richard Kooyman (not shown) carrying and setting up their easels out into a field off of M-109. It usually takes several trips to carry all the equipment, easels and canvas out to a location to paint. Hey, why isn't Pedro, our Portuguese Waterdog, carrying anything?
